....about writing and documentation

"Writing good documentation is hard. It's much harder than writing code."
Chris McDonough, ZopeMag Interview July 2003

Our aim is to prepare a complete set of user, admin and developer documents for OGo and related products. First in English, then in a number of other international languages.

We are pleased to announce the pre-release of the OGo User Guide, prepared by Virginia BioInformatics Institute. You can find the manual here

The OGo docs portal is the user contrib component of the project. All manuals will be derived from content generated by OGo users and contributors. Once registered you can create documentation, notes or just about anything with respect to your OGo experience all on line and immediately available when "published".

Looking for information about OGo?

Simple. Use the search feature at the top of every page. We recommend that you first use the search tool for the topic of interest and then review the published document archive. Can't find what you need. Try the enhanced search feature for fine grained information requests. Google site search integration is planned but not quite yet.

The documentation site is currently undergoing reconstruction in preparation for the OGo 1.0 Release. From time to time, some data may not be immediately available. We appreciate your understanding.

Please consider joining the project by becoming a member and posting to the documentation list as to your areas of interest. We can't get this done without your support.

All new members of docs.opengroupware.org are asked to subscribe to the the documentation list.
